Novel 17 illustrations
I didn’t think it would show up in the US so quickly but I found a couple of copies of the new novel at the NYC Kinokuniya bookstore and bought one although I can’t actually read it. ^_^;; (And if anyone in the US is interested in buying the novels, they do offer ordering through their site. The new one was $11.85 but the older ones seemed to run $8-$10 per book.) Sharing some pics, mainly the illustrations. For larger versions, click on the picture and then click again.
I assume that’s a summary on the back cover and it appears to be different and longer than the one that was on the site for the novels. From the furigana, I can pick out Shuurei, Ou Ki, and Shusui’s names.
A listing of characters at the beginning of the book. I suppose if they’re here, they’re involved in this volume somehow. Going by furigana, the characters listed across the bottom from right to left are Shi Seiran, Rou Ensei, Shin Suou, Ryuu Shibi, Shou Taishi, Son Ryouou, Shiba Jin, Ri Kouyuu, Ran Shuuei, and Shusui.

Page 81, I don’t recognize the man with Ensei but from the list of illustrations in Charmian’s spoiler post, I guess that’s the Kou Province governor Ryuu Shibi

Page 209, Shuurei and Ensei, don’t know who the masked person is
Page 245, Shuurei and Riou, no idea who the person with their back turned might be, looks like they’re in some subterranean place
Page 291, Ruka and it looks like Anju in the corner, not sure who the other two are but Charmian’s post listed one of the illustrations as Rikka, Ruka, and Anju and mentioned Anju was manipulating Sakujun somehow so I guess he might be the fourth person
Page 335, going by Charmian’s illustration list, this should be Uu Uu and Ruka borrowing Shuurei’s body; I guess that’s Uu Uu’s spirit floating up from his body or something.
The afterword in case there’s anything interesting in there and there are others who can read Japanese.

This manga ad has what looks like a page with Shuurei’s family when her mother was still alive so I’m guessing it might be a sidestory in the latest volume.
