Three weeks in...

And I'm still getting worse every day. I mentioned my problem in my last post if anyone's curious, but the rest of this is just ranting, so read only if you want to hear a long-winded entry about what's been going on.

got a diagnosis of "idiopathic neuropathy", eh? (translated to english: "nerve problems for no discernible reason".) could any of the specialists hear the grinding sound, or were they not even interested in that?

that sucks. i'm sorry your body seems to be betraying you.

No one has been able to find out about the grinding sound, except for the heat sensor the neck chiropractor did that picked up a high reading of heat in the affected area. I've done online research too and keep getting neuropathy of some sort, but my neurologist doesn't think so. It's hard because I don't know what to believe anymore.

Yeah, a friend of mine had unexplained headaches for so long that she started to think she was going crazy. Turns out she had hit her head on the side of the pool while swimming months earlier, and her problems stemmed from an undiagnosed hairline fracture.

Hopefully your problem gets defined or goes away before you start doubting your sanity too much. :(

Do heat (or alternately, cold) make any difference?

I've tried some ice and heat, but it hasn't seemed to help much... How did your friend eventually solve hers?

I am so sorry you are going through this. I know how frustrating it is to have doctors not really help your problem but just throw pills at you. I really hope you feel better soon.

I'm sorry you're going through this, it's very frustrating to feel SO terrible and not have anyone be able to tell you what is wrong. (I got the same thing with my stomach before a trip to the ER and emergency surgery fixed it.)

I hope things start to look up for you, and I hope you have fun at con despite it, but don't stress yourself out definitely. Take it easy.

I know, it's beyond frustrating! But yeah I'm going to con regardless, I'll probably just rest a lot I guess. And wow, what happened to your stomach?

Oh, man. About two years ago on Thursday of con, I got a bad stomach ache after dinner and threw up. I spent the rest of con either on the bed in severe pain or wandering around con like a zombie. When I went to the specialist, he decided it was acid reflux and made me go away. So I spent the next four months having episodes of extreme unbearable pain (like, I would lay on the bathroom floor for hours sobbing) and vomiting. I became terrified to eat food and chugged maalox like a crazy person. Finally I had a stomach ache that just would NOT stop so I went to the ER. The guy came in and told me my pancreas was so inflamed I'd have to stay at the hospital for a while, and good thing I came in because I could have died. Turns out it was gallbladder stones and I had to get my gallbladder removed RIGHT NOW. (And the whole time I was like 'wtf is a pancreas and a gallbladder?!' No one told me until the surgeon came in and drew me a diagram on a napkin cause I looked scared, lol ( ... )

That's sooo lame :C I hope you figure out what is going on and start to feel better soon!

We're going to sushi tomorrow night if you wanna come, it might be kinda far if you aren't feeling good, but it'd be fun if you could make it~

Aaaand apparently yet another of our roomies ditched us, so if you ever need to chill someplace quiet at con, our room is probably gonna be really laid back, I think there will only be three of us.

Sorry I didn't respond about sushi in time! I'm still feeling quite under the weather so I would've passed anything, but thanks for the invite. <3

And sure, I'll keep that in mind. :D Or you're welcome to visit at our room also -- we're at the Sheraton, where is yours?

That's okay, we ended up just getting takeout anyway, not nearly as fun.

We're at the Sheraton, too :D Hopefully will see you a lot more than last time, instead of just waiting 'till I run into you Sat night~

Me too. Also, if I'm a little stiff at con, you'll know why!
