I'm scared of wind, so it's just great when the weather service says "Any thunderstorm may produce damaging wind gusts in excess of 70 mph and large hail. Also, isolated tornadoes will be possible. Of particular concern, any tornado that does develop could be strong and long-lived. Because the greatest threat for tornadoes will exist after dark, including the pre-dawn hours, this constitutes and especially dangerous, this constitutes and especially dangerous situation."

Joys!

I love thunder and lightning. I love storms. Snowstorms, not so much, though. (^,^)\

I love snowfall, though. I love the whisper of it and the way everything looks clean.

I like thunderstorms sometimes, but not windy ones. I don't like the windy ones.

I'm partial to hurricanes and tropical storms myself. I love the feeling I get when a big one blows through. The ground trembles and the earth goes silent just before all hell breaks loose. It's like the air itself has come alive with barely restrained chaos and destruction. You can literally feel the electricity in the air as lighting surrounds you and hear the screams on the wind.

I love to just drink them in, stand outside, throw open my arms and mind and just let everything wash over me and through me. It's cleansing, and cathartic.

I've been fascinated by them for years now. Actually traveled into the way of some of them (whether it was intentional or not is up for debate in some cases). I've seen the eyes of Andrew, Bertha, Georges, Gordon, Charlie, Frances, Jeanne, and Wilma and had brushes with a bunch more. It's addictive.

Thyellaphilism is not a disease or a condition. It is a way of life.
