Hello Richmond!
We are Vagabond Opera, a gypsy cabaret vaudeville eastern-european Balkan Klezmer band hailing from Portland Oregon!
We're going to be in DC in June and would love to play a few more places in the area... such as Richmond! However, none of us really know the area so well. Are there any off-beat venues who might like to host a few cellists, an accordionist, a sax player, upright bass and drums, as well as tenor and soprano operatic vocals, catchy fast paced odd metered gypsy tunes, all within 14 different languages, of which only one is made up?
Any help you could give us go a long way in our cabaret revolution!
