Shall I?

I've been thinking of possibly using this journal as a place to write again, since I prefer to use my website mostly to provide a place to stream or download my music, and because Twitter has inappropriately become the place where I vent my feelings ( Read more... )

welcome back.

it's been like a ghost town here and i'm one of the ghosts.

did you ever watch millennium? we took a detour there during our x-files rewatch and i can't say i like it very well overall. i'm definitely in the 2nd season camp over those who prefer seasons 1&3. wanted to finish it before we watch the x-files episode that crosses over.

i want you to know that i'm glad to hear about your iphone -- not because i'm glad that it happened of course, far from it, but because my wife dropped her newish shatterproof droid turbo 2 in the toilet and killed it (a lot of good the shatterproofing was). and it's good to know that it's something that happens to everyone. and i thought maybe if i told you about my story you would feel a little bit better about it.

are you still making gloves? i don't understand why that would have an election-induced slowdown. but i don't really know anything about it.

i need to post more often but my life's been pretty boring and/or dismaying lately.

i have not watched millennium except for a few episodes here and there when it originally aired. i think the "millennium" x-files episode might be one of my least favorite...but i haven't seen it in quite a while. i know it's actually on some people's favorites lists.

would you believe that i honestly wasn't too upset about the phone? it's actually been nice not having one. there are a few video apps and such that i miss, and i was upset that i lost, like, 8 months of song ideas that i had saved as voice memos that i didn't back up, (my phone was jailbroken.) but other than that, not that big a deal.

i am still making gloves, and i'm not sure what makes things slow down during election year, other than the companies that order from us tend to take a wait and see approach. we also supply the oil and auto industries with safety apparel, so when gas prices are below $2/gallon, business isn't very good for whatever reason.

i saw this image on twitter, labeled as air pollution in pittsburgh in 1940:

that's really weird to see the web of cables for cable cars (no longer around). a person would get used to them of course but it looks so bizarre. i'm sure the air pollution from then would freak me out now too.

i would recommend just a handful of millennium episodes, and i'll put together a list, but one example is that they had jose chung from the x-files come do an episode.

i would have just thought it was fog if the pic hadn't been captioned.

i really should go back and watch some of the episodes. i think the jose chung one was an episode i watched, but i don't remember anything about it.
