While your situation is less than ideal, at least you have a lot of self confidence and know what you've done you've done on your own. There's a lot to be said for independence and hard work. I respect you for being able to do what you have done so far, I'm sure you'll make it the rest of the way.
All the rich kids with their parents paying their way through college so they can fuck around and do drugs don't have anything on you and never will. Anything worth having is worth working for, if it's all handed to you you don't respect anything. They don't have your drive - you've made everything you have on your own, and you'll make it all the way. I'm proud of you. ^^
