For the past hour, Eames has been killing time in the basement bar, playing yet another hand of solitaire and tossing a telephone slug into the jukebox, playing random songs while sipping bourbon and watching for some company. Male or female, doesn't really matter

Marlene's exploring, and eventually finds her way down to the basement bar, intrigued.

"Didn't expect this," she says to the man nearby. "I was thinking cobwebs, not something this nice."

She smiles, pleased.

"There's corners down here that're like that, but you took the right turn," he says, looking up at her, friendly. "Care to join me?"

"Most certainly, yes," she replies, grinning and sitting down. "This is really something down here."

"Quite a spread: reminds me of this li'l place in Perth, place where I used to hang my hat, till the govs decided t' start makin' things hot for gamblers," he says.
