It's funny how you can forget to appreciate the little things, like being able to shower standing up and driving. I still am not quite allowed to drive yet (not just the moped, the Horatio, too), but I can finally shower while standing. You wouldn't think a person would miss that...but, yeah, it can be a real pain to have to do things differently

I am also glad that you are letting more love into your life. I have called a love moratorium on more than one occasion over the last decade, so I can relate there too.
I am very glad that you have enforced some limits with the extended family... Trying to make blood relationships with assholes a priority is utterly crazymaking.

I figured I'd better do something on the love front. Frankly, if I'm going to keep writing then I am definitely not going to have time to make the aformentioned phone book helmet.
It became highly necessary to create those limits. When someone demands that you choose sides...well, I'm going to side with the side that is taking care of me and CARES about my well-being. I'm tired of things escalating constantly. The last thing I need right now is that stress, so, yup, I have listened to your (and a few others) very consistent advice. I have chosen to abstain from the craziness and I'm much better off without it.
