I'm very new to the world of fanfic, but so far I've been enjoying it a good deal. It might be fun to do this meme, and then if fanfiction ends up being a lasting hobby, do it again down the road to see how things have expanded and changed.

by the by, have you read the ~first official fic~ I posted on ffnet the other day? It's a Kiddyshipping (Mokuba x Rebecca) oneshot for a contest. idk how you feel about that pairing, but I've had people tell me the fic is cute~

**nods** It certainly would be interesting!

I haven't read it yet--I need to finish the ficlit I'm working on for helpthesouth first, and then I'll look at it. I'm not exactly in support of Mokuba/Rebecca, though that's more because I'm not fond of Rebecca in general.

Yeah. Also, doesn’t one episode of Pokemon have Ash explaining to somebody that ‘Misty is a girl who’s a friend, but not a girlfriend’? I can definitely see that evolving into something more, and from what I remember I definitely rooted for them, even way back when. I haven’t watched any post-trio episodes, so I’m glad that my memories aren’t tainted of Ash and Misty and Brock ( ... )

Actually, that was Misty who said "he's a boy and he's a friend"--that was in the second movie--the Lugia one. Interestingly enough, that was the first Pokémon movie I had seen--I had skipped Mewtwo Strikes Back initially because I wasn't sure how well I'd take Ash turning to stone, but I did eventually watch it and ended up liking the movie after all. XD; But the third movie, Spell of the Unown, will forever be my favorite of all the Pokémon movies.

**nods** Indeed.

...I cannot picture Veran ever genuinely falling in love. She seems to be out for herself. I did sort of have her flirt with Carl Kolchak in that blurb, but that wasn't genuine at all. Neither is her mothering Newkirk, I might add.

Oh, yes.

I really appreciate how the Max/99 relationship was eased into, definitely. They did that very well.

Wot? I thought I had convinced you that LeBeau and Newkirk are the closest!

Hmm-- I don't remember watching the second movie. Though, me and my brother did see the first movie in theaters. How Mom ever put up with all those bright lights is something that still puzzles me. XD So, are you sure it wasn't mentioned in an episode somewhere?

Yes, I know that she's only using Newkirk because of his life force. Ooh, AU plot bunny! What if Veran was actually a good sorceress, or a sorceress who's being turned evil against her will? What exactly would be on the other side of the coin if it was flipped?

Well, you'll have to chase *me* down to admit that. XD Plus, I still love Carter way too much to leave him out of my fics, and we both love Newkirk the best, I believe.

I'm pretty sure it was only mentioned in the Lugia movie--that's the one that everyone cites as Ash/Misty "proof."

Hmm. I don't know. Veran is a deep evil--of the shadows. She enjoys seeing others suffer, and she knows it. I don't think she was ever good, but if you want to try writing something like that, by all means, go right ahead. I'll read it. XD

In the immortal words of Rockapella... "Oooooooooh, the Chase!" I wrote that LeBeau-Newkirk essay... how long ago? And I still have yet to hear a counterargument from you...

(Actually, I love LeBeau and Newkirk equally)
