Bleh...

Well, today was absolutely unproductive, writing-wise. Actually, the last week has been like that. First it was because I was just plain tired, and these past couple days was because I was skimming around TVTropes (don't ask me why; I couldn't tell you ( Read more... )

Sorry about the heat wave. Just when I thought it was getting cooler here, it's getting very muggy and hot instead :(

Hope your day is more productive tomorrow!

Oh, I hope so, too!

I haven't been very productive the last few days with fiction writing myself. I've been busy with non-fiction blurbs and short articles. And I've kind of not written anything on the West Side Story fic since I'm having more trouble than usual getting interest. I do want to write it anyway, though, and I suddenly had an inspiration today and wrote over a page earlier. It felt wonderful.

You certainly have my sympathies on the heat wave. Uggggh. It sounds like how summers down here are usually conducted. I've lived with it all my life, but it's still sheer torture. I hate summer heat.

I wish so bad I could find the Ironside episodes where Simon plays good guys.

Ohh, hardcore Brock. That sounds awesome. And also the less emphasis on him crushing on every available girl. I think I remember noticing that in the early episodes. If only they'd stuck with it. You actually helped me like Brock better; I found him generally annoying because of his constant obsession with chasing girls.

Oh, dear. But yes, inspiration is wonderful--hopefully mine will come back.

Oh, yes, I remember going there with my cousins 4 years ago. 104 degrees--we sought refuge in Baskin-Robbins. Power to you; I'm surrendering when it gets like that for two days--I can't imagine facing it on a regular basis.

Yesssss....

He was definitely awesome in his early appearances--a real shame when you look at when he turned into later. I always try to portray that early portrayal of Brock--glad I helped you like him better!

Now I ended up with a oneshot plunnie due to the scene I jotted out yesterday. I must commence work on it.

Thank heavens it doesn't usually get into the triple digits for more than a few days at a time. Down South is where that happens, and I can't imagine living there.

... Good grief, it just said on the news it will hit 120 in Louisville today! That's hotter than it even usually gets in Phoenix.

I guess a lot of Pokemon characters suffered in later years. I still hate what happened to Team Rocket. They were steadily becoming more like just cheap comic relief, but it got so much worse around seasons 5 and 6. I did hear they got better again, though.

Nice.

Oh, indeed. The times I've visited Texas in the summer... The house is air-conditioned, so the hot air just sweeps in when you open the door. I opened the door once, the first thought in my head was, "So this must be what it's like to stand in front of a snoring Charizard..."

Eep!

Oh, yes, definitely. I'm noticing and appreciating how much more competent Team Rocket is in the early eps. I've heard they've gotten better, too, but without the old voice cast, I have no desire to see it. I know I'm being totally stubborn, but... Argh. Well, you can imagine, I'm sure.

I am really sorry to hear and see about the heat wave over there. You make me feel guilty for complaining about temperatures of 85F. We never go up 91 or lower than 70. I wish I could tele-transport all of you to my country, we have very nice weather all year long.
