The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

I'm still having issues narrowing down my icons. I had $2 worth of LJ credit so I figured I might as well use it and extended my icons to 20 for a year at least. I figure that way it'll make it easier and maybe by then I can finally narrow it down to 15. But even getting it down to 20 is proving hard. Right now stuck at 23 and don't want to get rid ( Read more... )

The bit at the end where he ran into the fight to protect Thorin just made me T_T with joy. ME TOO!!!

Thranduil, Lee Pace, I cannot wait!

And now I think I see to see the movie in IMAX if was really a lot better with the 3D because I barely noticed it when I saw the movie, only a few bits that 'jumped' out.

Well the 3D itself isn't really "noticeable" in The Hobbit IMAX. Its more that it just enhances the quality of the video itself. Since they had it in a much higher resolution just for that showing that they don't have for the other versions (which is also higher than normal movies in general, even for IMAX). There was nothing that I really thought as "oh wow 3D~" as they didn't make anything pop out really. The trailers for other stuff was more impressive and just gave me an idea of what IMAX 3D can be like. Its a shame they don't have a non-3D version for IMAX as I think its more the fact its in IMAX than the 3D that makes it uber nice. But I was kinda paying more attention to the story than the actual details of the quality at the time. ^^;;

Though I will say, I recently watched Rise of the Guardians in regular 3D and that one I DID notice the 3D almost the entire film. That and Avatar are the only 2 where it really made a difference for me.
