Probably every family has their hot-button issues. With us, it's space travel. Talking with Dad this morning made us realize that the Doctor and I should have explained things better first. So, here are a few things:
- We're not leaving tomorrow. Or even the next day. Things will depend on what we can find and/or build. For all we know, this could take years.
- Travelling around would be like going on holiday, not a full-time thing. We've got a life here we like very much, and that includes everyone in it. :) Plus, we quite like Tyler2, and even the mortgage we have to pay off. :D
- Anything we use would be safe. And fast. It would need to be for our purposes. It would have to have loads of safety features and equipment. After all, we have to know if we can even survive on a planet first before we step foot on it. And if need be, we can set up our building to use as a quarantine every time we come back.
- We don't want to do this because we hate it here. There's nothing like stepping out into a whole new place, and the Doctor and I miss it. A lot.
- It's true we'll probably do it with or without people's blessings, and I'm sorry we can't see eye to eye about it. All I can say is if you're worried about us not coming back, see number 2. If you're worried about us being safe, see number 3.
So that's pretty much it. I think. I hope that clears some things up a bit.
