Yes, I had to pay to get my camera fixed, but guess what Canon sent me today -- a BRAND NEW CAMERA! I guess mine was irreparable or something, but who cares -- a pretty pretty new Powershot G7! Now I wish it weren't 90 degrees outside, 'cause who wants to go outside in 90 degrees, but my camera! Yay! I so wish I'd had it in New York ( Read more... )

It's still my camera apparently! Who knew? Seriously, it looks brand new, and starts up differently and everything. Maybe they just put my serial number on a different camera. Hmmm.

Hooray for a good as new camera!!!

I have a friend who does the same thing with sequels - anything that's #2 gets ": Electric Boogaloo" tacked onto the end.

Mine is a Zen V (4GB). I believe it was less than $150 but that was around Christmas time so I don't know if I got some sort of holiday special or not. Check that website I linked as that is who I bought it through (I couldn't figure out how to get to the prices...I think that means I should be in bed now *g*).

I love mine and never want to part with it. :)

Wow! I'm glad to hear that Canon's got such good customer service. That's pretty cool. And why is Jennifer Crusie sending you free books, missy?

On Jennifer Crusie's website (I get her blog RSS fed to my LJ) they had a thing where they'd send the book to 50 out of the first 100 people who responded with their own blog address, if they agreed to read & review the book. Easy-peasy! I had no idea I'd been picked, but the book arrived yesterday. Yay!
