I watched the SMAPxSMAP Special in Cannes yesterday and fell in love with this performance of Shintaku. A beautiful song! I like their performance more than the one of the original singer! The name of this song is "Ue o muite arukoo" aka Sukiyaki (engl.: I look up when I walk), originally singed by Kyu Sakamoto.

Haha yeah it's a good song... I saerch for the song and the lyrics after I watched Kyu Sakamoto Monogatari on youtube *that special drama starred by Gussan*... I like the song and many Jsingers covers that song over the years... the lyrics are really meaningful... ^^ thanks for sharing this SMAP version.

I´m glad u like this performace too. :) Didn´t know that Kyu Sakamoto was so famous that they made a drama about him. I will watch this drama special if I have time.

I don't know much about Kyu Sakamoto until I watch the drama. I was actually randomly browsing through youtube searching for some TOKIO clips/vid and just happen to stumble on the drama *using Yamaguchi Tatsuya keyword*. I think it's still there on youtube. It got subs. I was hoping for a better quality of the that drama. But I don't know where to find it. It's a good drama really. :D
