► Since May I have a 100% rating on Ebay for 15 purchases... out of 41. It'd be nice if the guy I've bought 19 items from would leave me some feedback on at least 1.

► This morning I received an email from artist Wynn Ryder with scans of 5 of the 9 sketchcards I commissioned from him last week. Not that brightened up my day!

This batch includes Superman (no details requested except his classic costume), Power Girl (artist's choice: costumed, partial nude or full nude), Batgirl (nude), Red Sonja (partial nude/damage costume) and Big Barda (bottomless). As always, Wynn did an incredible job. I really love his sketchcards.

Stop hating George Lucas, and stop loving 'Star Wars' so much: Why it's time to grow up - While I agree with the author to a point (I've long said that the criticisms and complaints about the are criticisms and complaints the original trilogy suffered through in their day, and the suggestion that George Lucas is somehow raping our childhoods is insulting and moronic at best), this article really reads like a man embarrassed and embittered about his childhood fantasies and dreams. I fail to see how continuing to enjoy things we enjoyed from our youth is inherently backwards or banal, and in no way do I think those things are more than they were or are. I'm 35 years old. Should I no longer listen to Queen and drink A&W root beer, and instead listen exclusively to classical music and sip only fine wine?

I'd rather keep and treasure my ability to appreciate the dreams and fantasies of my youth along with my sense of wonder at the world, than "grow" into an embittered, charmless and passionless drone of an adult. This author seems to think the later is preferable."Men do not quit playing because they grow old; they grow old because they quit playing."

15 of the Most Overused Jokes on TV - They left out "wise patient wife and incompetent and moronic husband". This also works for mothers and fathers on TV too. There has not been a capable husband or father on TV since Cliff Huxtable on The Cosby Show, and that ended 19 years ago.

New Poster & Photos From Ami Canaan Mann’s Venice-Bound ‘Texas Killing Fields’ - Before this year I had never heard of Jessica Chastain. But now it seems as if she's in every other film getting released. Six movies so far for 2011, and at least four more upcoming. Yeesh.

The 7 Best Films of the Summer (2011) - Or so says Pajiba. Admittedly I've only seen a handful of movies this summer, but my personal favourite has been Captain America: The First Avenger. I absolutely loved that film. Of these 7 films, I've only seen X-Men: First Class which was a really good solid film. I've heard good things about Attack the Block and Fright Night, so I do want to see those.

Creepily Realistic Futurama Character Busts - Yikes, I think they look better as cartoons.
