Just got a call from My Soldier's Mom. (Ok, I'll share--Our Josh's Mom.) He's safely back in Alaska! I have a phone number for him that should work through Monday, post if you need it. Puppies! Squeeeeeee! Just got back from my parent's house. Eli & Erin drove 'my car' up there to pick out a puppy! Eli suceeded in narrowing it from three to two in a couple of hours. Erin and Eli are so cute... they each had a favorite pup, and each one wanted to pick the other's favorite to make them happy. In the end they picked based on ( Read more... )

UVM is back in session (or will be shortly). Traffic was backed up from Church Street in Burlington to the Roundabout in Winooski as parents dumped their kids off. Michael, Claire and I have rescued a stray kitten! He's the ginchiest. Since I just officially lost my real job he'll most likely go live with Claire & Michael. He's my new best friend. Sort of.

I got a bedroom set delivered yesterday. It is in a beautiful worm-hole ridden pine, stained slightly darker than it would naturally look, but not dark at all. ( Similar to this one, but with bigger drawers and posts at the bedcorners.) My tiny rented bedroom is chock-full of furniture now, but it looks like a "real" bedroom! ( Read more... )
