"Hello, Aunt Muriel. Do you mind coming into ze kitchen? Genevieve is awake and her cradle is in there right now if you would like to see her. How have you been?" Fleur asked.

"Hello, my dear," Muriel greeted, "Certainly. I'm sure she's grown so much even in a few weeks. It's scary, how fast that happens. How are you holding up? I hope she's not keeping you up too much at night?"
Muriel shifted the casserole dish in her arms as she followed Fleur into the kitchen, subtly surveying the house as she did. New baby or not, the place looked clean, but Muriel didn't doubt there was a large pile of washing lurking somewhere.
"I brought a little something for you," she said when they arrived in the kitchen, setting it down on the counter. "With Geneveive taking up so much of your time, I thought you might like a night or three off from cooking. It's a chicken casserole. Easy to reheat."

"Oh! Thank you. I like chicken very much. I had cooked sometheengs to freeze before but they are almost gone now. This is very thoughtful. Thank you again." Fleur kissed her cheek and put the casserole in the cooler for later. "Please 'ave a seat. Would you like to hold her? Gigi has been very alert since her feeding. She has been keeping me company while put up the dishes."

Muriel chuckled, nodding in understanding. "You should take care to remember those back aches and sore feet - they're a little taste of what it feels like to get old."
Even tired and with a new baby, Fleur was gorgeous. It was quite unfair, but Muriel supposed there were downsides to Veela blood as well. She couldn't think of any, but there must have been some.
"Oh, good. I didn't think I could go wrong with chicken." Muriel did feel father pleased with herself. At the invitation, she took a seat. "Oh, I'd love to," she said. "I don't think you were awake when I saw her at the hospital. I mentioned to Bill that I held him when he was born, and Molly, and his grandfather too, although I was only a girl myself then. It's very strange and beautiful to hold Genevieve as well."
