Nearly all my good news these days seems to be coming from the other side of the pond -- which is not a bad thing by any means! But in any case, I found out this week courtesy of some schoolchildren who e-mailed me from the UK that Knife has been nominated for the Hillingdon Secondary School Book of the Year for 2010. Ooh, an award given by the children themselves, that's special. :)

Scarf notwithstanding the video is also great, I can see you coming across as v.approachable and cool to those same children especially.

I hope kids like it. Attention spans are so short and I didn't include any extra visuals... mostly because I couldn't figure out how to work them in!

Well, it helps that I was doing the recording myself with the built-in webcam on my laptop! That way I could have the script posted at the top of the screen and look like I knew what I was doing. :D

What a cool award. I hope Knife wins. You did great with the video. I never do so well when cameras are pointed in my direction. Can't wait for Rebel to come out!

WAYFARER comes out here on April 27, 2010. Yeah, I know -- quite a gap there! But I hope to run a giveaway contest some time before that.

It's so lovely to actually see and hear you at last! The scarf is ok and I LOVE the brooch :)
