Well, that's interesting

Often times, when I am bored, like when watching the Oscars and getting pissed over Inception losing Best Score, I troll imdb to find the projects some of my favorite actors are working on.

No Better Place to Die is a film currently in pre-production and as you can see, a few familiar names are attatched to it for those of us in HBO War Fandoms. ( Read more... )

Lol is it just me or are the Oscars this year just...kinda disappointing in general? I mean the winners for best Short film documentary just had me in a ":|" mood already. ALSO LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS NEW WAR FANDOM--hopefully not waiting forever... :(

And awaiting your Snafu-Burgie bromance because yeah like you pointed out, very little Burgie love :(

The Oscars were just blah and eh this year.

Yes, new war fandom, which will pretty much lap-over perfectly with BOB and have Perco's older twin of some kind.

In the modern-au, Snafu and Burgie are roomies in Oceanside, so it's been fun going through that.

Oh wow, that film. James Madio and Joshua Biton? This is going to be a tiny badass-fest, I can tell. (Already planning fics in which Perconte runs into this Lt. Marr guy and gets confused to all hell.)

Never heard of the Secret Sisters, but Spotify has quite a selection of their stuff, so I'll have to check them out when I get the same. Your music recs haven't failed me yet.

Also - Snafu/Burgie bromance sounds tremendous. This fandom needs so much more Burgie. I suspect it's only lack of rewatching and the fact he only turns up in the really depressing half of the series that's put them off so far. I do hope so, anyway.

I am eagerly looking forward to this film now, with Dale Dye, James Madio and Joshua Biton, it's like, get someone from Gen Kill in there and call it an HBO mini-series reunion.

If you like Alison Krauss, in all likelihood, you will like Secret Sisters.

The fandom needs so much more Burgie. I do hope the re-watching brings more Burgie fic. He is, indeed, in the ultra-depressing half of the series, but come on, how can you now watch that scene at the end where he gets off the train and hugs his little brother and not want all the Burgie fic in the world? Also, he NAMED SNAFU. That's grounds enough for some epic bromance writing.

The power of Dale Dye alone makes me want to watch the film.

The fic has been fun to write so far. I've always liked the dynamic of Snafu and Burgie, even from reading about them in the books. We shal see where it goes.
