Movies and the like

Watched Atonement, bawled my eyes out. The film lived up to the hype. Beautifully shot. I have an urge to re-read the book and, you know, pay closer attention this time around.

The Jane Austen Book Club was really "eh." I do not recommend it. The bad outweighs the good. I have heard that the book is MUCH better so, I might give that a chance ( Read more... )

I really want to watch the new Indiana Jones but still haven't found the time!
And I can't wait for the new Xfiles movie
I can't find the time for many things lately, lot's of work, rehearsals in my dance school, a cousin of mine is getting married (so we had the batchelorette party, on Wednesday we have a family gathering to the newlyweds house, sth like precelebration, and on Saturday we finally have the actual wedding).
But everything would be ok if I didn't have problems with my cat. Since Friday she stopped eating, I tried everything. Yesterday we went to the vet and he said that it's probably her kidneys. Now we are waiting for the tests, she's a bit better because he gave her serum but he said that there are many things he can do! Yesterday I couldn't stop crying! Anyway, we'll wait and see, I just don't want her to suffer!

Love,
Nima

PS Congratulations on your As, I hope you'll find the chanse to relax a little bit, at least from the academic stuff!

Nima,
::hugs:: I hope life lets up sooner or later! Sounds like you've been a ton busy.

Good luck with the wedding! I hope you guys have a great time and lovely weather.

I'm so sorry about your cat! I really hope things take a turn for a better.

Love,
Shannon

i want to see atonement. bought the book for my mom. have never had a desire to see the jane austen book club. most likely because i'm perfectly happy with the books and the adaptations of the books, so i don't see why exactly i need to watch a movie about people falling in love because of her books? i don't really get it, but still. won't see it. yeah, but i definitely want to see atonement...AND i need netflix. then again, i also need money...

I really rec. Atonement.

Well, as for Netflix, you can do a free trail period for a month...but then they'll start charging you. Alas.

I'll def. let you know the next time I'm in CLT. It might not be until Dec., but we shall see.

Captain Jack is *drool* Jack AND Ianto is love :D
John Barrowman is Scottish by birth but American by upbringing and I'm so glad for that. Throwing a Scottish accent on him would be fangirl overload/too "Oh my God, I just realized I'm a woman!"-y *puddle of goo*
Good show, good show.

Please don't watch this season's Doctor Who, you NEED to watch last season's (s3) with Martha. The best. They meet Shakespeare by the 2nd episode, 'Human Nature' and 'Family of Blood' I feel are some would be sorta up your alley (lots of WWI England backed story. Very touching ultimately) and 'Blink' is worth the entire season :D
This new season is just ugh.

X-Files, oddly enough that's the one I'm contemplating whether I should see it or not. I'm not sure I'm gonna see Indy, which is weird 'cause they were the first movies I ever really loved but meh. Hulk looks interesting but whatev. As I said, the only thing I'm looking forward to really is The Dark Knight.

Captain Jack is very, very nice. I've seen the bloopers where he switches into the Scottish Accent and oh, there was fangirl squeeeing to the max ( ... )
