Title: Make Believe Pairing: House/Wilson Rating: General Spoilers/Warnings: Season 6 up to 'Open and Shut.' Angst. Summary: House comes home and Wilson is there.
Ow! Poor House! I want to hold him! That scene at the end of Open And Shut was very painful - you put House's look into words perfectly. (I need chocolate now!)
Yes that scene was heartbreaking! But it was such a powerful little scene that I can't help but like it. I like those glimpses we get of his deeper emotions. I really wanted to give the poor guy a hug.
aw :( I dunno if it was because I managed to see christikat's comment about how depressing it was before reading the whole piece, but there was a sense of melancholy even from the beginning. Very good. I totally need a sad!House icon now.
I so felt for House in that ep. Seriously. As much as I love him, Wilson is so daft not seeing how much he is hurting House. He pulls him in, then pushes him away. :'(
I just wanted to give the poor guy a hug at the end of Open and Shut. :(
Wilson's a lovable idiot isn't he? 'You always hurt the one you love' and all that. He does pull him in and then push him away, definitely. That's why I wanted to place moving in together, the proposal, and the organ one after the other. I think looking at it that way, you couldn't blame House for maybe having a bit of hope at that stage.
Yeah I know, it only makes sense that House would be incredibly upset after all that. Although, I'm not counting the proposal because it was really only a prank: Surely the best cock-blocking tactic I've ever seen. But, I'd definitely counting the flat that Wilson bought for the two of them after his liver donation and House's famous 'If you die, I'm alone.' And then Wilson goes through all of what we've seen, pulling House in and all ... just to slap him in the face and make him move out within a matter of days? He really and truly wasn't thinking. I really don't think he thought that one through. Well. Or, possibly because he is blind when it comes to House's affection for him. Must be that, no?
lol yeah we won't count the proposal. I think Wilson would surely have to know that House cares very much about him. The 'Wilson' episode for example. But he's obviously blind to the extent of those feelings. There's a sort of pattern too, between House's behaviour when Amber came into the picture and now Sam and I definitely don't think Wilson sees that.
No he doesn't seem to realise that does he? He wants House around (moving in together, the organ) then he doesn't. The whole 'paying House's team to go out with him' was rather sad and hurtful.
It makes me wonder if they'll ever try to examine how messed up Wilson actually is on the show. Probably not, but I think it would make for an interesting episode.

I don't have any sad!House icons to share either. I prefer it when they're happy. :)
