Sighing, Kyon, as commanded by their-- or his-- he wasn't quite sure whether the others would actually show after the first fiasco--Fearless Leader, waited outside to keep a lookout to make sure to drag in any passerbies who looked "interesting". At least nominally he was supposed to. He wasn't actually going to drag anyone into the madness that were Haruhi's schemes. He suppoesd that he didn't have to either, but... in a way, he had to admit, she was, for the time being, all he had left, and she was all he had left, of their old world. And, for all the zaniness, for all the insanity, for all the times he swore he could have torn his hair out in frustration... he missed it. All of it. Including, well... Haruhi being in control. At least then he didn't have to wake up to a bleeding journal, or reports of people dying or changing into monsters. And there was always the dependable Nagato, and the lovely Asahina-san, and even the ever-smiling Itsuki. But here... everything just seemed so wrong ( ... )

Lady went to empty house number twenty-seven when it became close to dusk. She was planning to join up with the SOS Brigade to help put a stop to the weird occurrences that were developing. She was sure that this had to be a work of a demon and seeing as this was her specialty, she decided to lend a helping hand any way that she could.

She entered the house, and was looking to see if she could find the person who had invited her to this meeting tonight.

Haruhi beamed at the newcomer, jumping to her feet as she entered and gesturing towards the empty chairs.

"Welcome to the SOS Brigade! You were the one from the journals, right? You wanted to help out? Well, don't worry, this is the place to be! We might not look like much, but it's a mistake to underestimate the SOS Brigade!"

Someone had come! That was enough to get her hopes skyrocketing, the doubt dissolving into the back of her mind. Excited, Haruhi flipped open her journal and pressed a finger to the rune-covered, blood-encrusted jaguar entry. She was far too giddy to smell the blood. Besides, she was the brigade chief. She didn't have time to be distracted by bleeding journals.

"Look, you've seen this right? We're going to be looking at it a lot, so get used to it! I won't let anyone go crazy at this meeting!"

[ooc; Let me know if I need to thread hop downwards to keep it organized XD]

"Yeah, that's me," she answered as she took one of the empty chairs. "You can just call me Lady."

Lady looked at to what she was showing her from the journal. It was the reason that some people were going crazy and becoming cursed. "Yes, I've seen it. You don't have to worry about me, it hasn't affected me."

Already it had become dusk, as L watched the sky in all of it's trance-instilling glory. The colors, so radiant yet so dim, almost entered L's mind into a dream-like state, though he remained awake to assure himself he would visit Empty House #27 for an SOS Brigade Meeting. At the moment, he was laying atop the roof of that very house, having gazed at the sky and resisted the sheer cold of the morning weather.

L fell off the roof, landing on the pavement safely. He turned to the seemingly wooden door of the house, and with two fingers, turned the knob, slowly pulling the door back to notice that others were present. Supposedly they are members of the SOS Brigade, so L abruptly stept inside, back slouched.

"..Could this be a meeting for the SOS Brigade?" L asked, in this contrived innocent manner.

Haruhi looked up from her journal, gesturing at L to come and sit at the table. "Great, you're here too! You're the guy with the theories, aren't you?" Haruhi swiveled the journal around and pushed it towards L. "You should already know what this is, then. And you should know what it does to people. You've probably studied it a lot already - and you don't look bloodthirsty - so you should be alright, but if you start going insane because you're around it too much, then we'll have to deal with you, got it? No matter how good your theories are, if you're trying to kill everyone you won't be all that helpful. So be careful." That said, she straightened, setting her hands on her hips and grinning proudly at her new member.

"I'm Haruhi Suzumiya, the SOS Brigade chief! Who're you?"

For L not to be trusted so easily was something he had grown used to during his lifetime. Though she was only speaking of the consequences if he had gone berserk. After L picked up the journal with only two fingers, he eyed the book closely. The blood stains were quite noticeable.

L stepped on top of the chair, sitting on his feet. His knees neared his chest, firmly holding them. It was a very strange way to sit, though it was the most comfortable for him. Continuing to study the book, abstaining from eye contact he spoke, "You may refer to me as L. Or Ryuzaki. Or Hideki Ryuga. Whichever you prefer."

The detective placed his thumb on his mouth.

Lady looked over to see the other person who was here. It was L, Ryuzaki, Hideki--whatever the hell he wanted to be called. Talk about someone with several different aliases. Lady decided to introduce herself to the other person as well. "Its nice to meet you Ryuzaki, what kind of theories do you have on this matter?" she asked.

"Nice to meet you, Lady. And I'll call you L. It sounds more mysterious than the other ones."

She beamed from one new member to the other, then back to the journal, leaning forward as L took the journal away and placing her hands on the table to support herself. "See that jaguar in the picture? It wrote another journal not too long ago, in English. It has to be that thing's blood all over the pages, right? And that's why people are turning into cats."

Haruhi tapped her fingers on the wood of the table, eyes and grin as bright as ever - two signs she was thinking plotting and imagining. "It said it would free them of the Queen... but that could mean anything, right? Freedom could mean freedom, but freedom could mean death, too." She looked up at her two new members, waiting for their input.

"Interesting. If it is true that the jaguar is responsible for all this blood, then what I have theorized is correct. Victims who have transformed into various cat species are most likely to have been infected by blood that had derived from an actual cat itself. Therefore, this jaguar could most likely be the source of the blood-stained entries."

There is potentially only one way to explain how the blood had managed to transform humans: Magic. So it was indeed possible that if the jaguar had magical properties, then everything else that originated from Rivelata did as well. Maybe even the Queen..

"Indeed there is no doubt that these magical blood stains were the work of that jaguar, who like the Queen, is presumably native to Rivelata. So could that possibly mean Rivelata is somehow, magical as well?" L elaborated. As he spoke, he set the journal down on the table for others to see.
