She entered the house, and was looking to see if she could find the person who had invited her to this meeting tonight.

"Welcome to the SOS Brigade! You were the one from the journals, right? You wanted to help out? Well, don't worry, this is the place to be! We might not look like much, but it's a mistake to underestimate the SOS Brigade!"
Someone had come! That was enough to get her hopes skyrocketing, the doubt dissolving into the back of her mind. Excited, Haruhi flipped open her journal and pressed a finger to the rune-covered, blood-encrusted jaguar entry. She was far too giddy to smell the blood. Besides, she was the brigade chief. She didn't have time to be distracted by bleeding journals.
"Look, you've seen this right? We're going to be looking at it a lot, so get used to it! I won't let anyone go crazy at this meeting!"

"Yeah, that's me," she answered as she took one of the empty chairs. "You can just call me Lady."
Lady looked at to what she was showing her from the journal. It was the reason that some people were going crazy and becoming cursed. "Yes, I've seen it. You don't have to worry about me, it hasn't affected me."

L fell off the roof, landing on the pavement safely. He turned to the seemingly wooden door of the house, and with two fingers, turned the knob, slowly pulling the door back to notice that others were present. Supposedly they are members of the SOS Brigade, so L abruptly stept inside, back slouched.
"..Could this be a meeting for the SOS Brigade?" L asked, in this contrived innocent manner.

"I'm Haruhi Suzumiya, the SOS Brigade chief! Who're you?"

L stepped on top of the chair, sitting on his feet. His knees neared his chest, firmly holding them. It was a very strange way to sit, though it was the most comfortable for him. Continuing to study the book, abstaining from eye contact he spoke, "You may refer to me as L. Or Ryuzaki. Or Hideki Ryuga. Whichever you prefer."
The detective placed his thumb on his mouth.

She beamed from one new member to the other, then back to the journal, leaning forward as L took the journal away and placing her hands on the table to support herself. "See that jaguar in the picture? It wrote another journal not too long ago, in English. It has to be that thing's blood all over the pages, right? And that's why people are turning into cats."
Haruhi tapped her fingers on the wood of the table, eyes and grin as bright as ever - two signs she was thinking plotting and imagining. "It said it would free them of the Queen... but that could mean anything, right? Freedom could mean freedom, but freedom could mean death, too." She looked up at her two new members, waiting for their input.

There is potentially only one way to explain how the blood had managed to transform humans: Magic. So it was indeed possible that if the jaguar had magical properties, then everything else that originated from Rivelata did as well. Maybe even the Queen..
"Indeed there is no doubt that these magical blood stains were the work of that jaguar, who like the Queen, is presumably native to Rivelata. So could that possibly mean Rivelata is somehow, magical as well?" L elaborated. As he spoke, he set the journal down on the table for others to see.
