Luckily for Sirius, he did not necessarily have to walk back to the house nude. He could easily remain in his dog form and make it back to the house without much trouble at all. It was Remus that was a bit of a problem. Next time, for sure, they would need to bring clothes, maybe hide them in bushes somewhere and then the morning after, just go find them. Easier than having Remus have to deal with being found naked
( ... )
Remus scratched affectionately behind Sirius' ear as the dog climbed out of the ditch. He sighed very quietly, lifting himself out of the ditch and feeling extremely exposed. After all these years, he still had the lingering sensation of embarrassment when his friends saw him in the buff. While they seemed to have no problem running about the hills and dells without clothes, Remus was quite a bit more traditional and well-mannered than they.
He pursed his lips a bit at Sirius. He wasn't sure why he had been expecting the other man to run back with him in his human form. No reason for both of them to be completely bared to the entire town. He drew in a deep, bracing breath as the approached the edge of the forest. Keep your eyes open, Remus. No matter how mortifying this became, it wouldn't do to run blindly through the town and smack into the side of a building.
"Alright," he murmured to Padfoot, "Let's go."
And started into a mad sprint toward the edge of town.
Padfoot leaned in to Remus’s hand, enjoying the short sensation of the other scratching his ears. Despite the fact that he was biologically not a dog, he didn’t mind the attention. He didn’t quiet get it but he didn’t exactly question it either. One of those things that came with the package, he supposed.
He saw the look on the others face, and he knew right away what it was for - he was taking advantage of his animagus abilities. Sure, Sirius did not mind being completely nude, but he was not entirely fond of streaking through this city. For all he knew, he could anger the locals some more and then they would hang him.
And at least if they tried to do that to Remus right now, Sirius could have easily bitten them and defended Remus better in the form of Padfoot rather than just a naked teenager without his wand.
As soon as Remus began his sprint, Padfoot was close at his side. He stayed there, like a loyal dog, following the other through the streets quickly.
Oh lord, things were flapping in the wind, things that Remus did not even want to think about. Maybe if he pretended hard enough that he didn't have dangly bits, they would disappear and he would just look like a muggle Barbie doll. That would be preferable to someone seeing him like this now. Through all his mortification and embarrassment at the prospect of running through the town nude, he completely forgot that he did NOT know how to get to Lily's house from here. And here they were, already at the edge of town.
Remus came to a sudden halt in an alleyway between some non-descript houses. He snagged Padfoot by the scruff of the neck, and yanked him back into the alley with him, crouching down in the shadows. Those brown eyes were filled with panic.
"Pads, I still don't know my way around here! You're going to have to lead us back to Lily's." He whispered urgently.
The start of the morning had been particularly tiring-- house work had to be done, as well as breakfast. Luckily enough for her, she had little to worry about aside from herself, and it made indulging in the simple things in life all that much more possible.
Somewhat overheated by the preparation of her breakfast, Garnet decided to take advantage of the cool morning air before it became too hot to remain comfortable.
She smiled softly as she leaned over a short table to open the window tat faced the alley, and found herself staring down at a very naked, very dirty, very bloodied man. And a dog. Her eyes widened in shock (and horror) as her pale cheeks blushed a bright, embarrassing pink colour, and her mouth fell agape.
Marketplace. He hated the Marketplace, with all of its people and its pushing and shoving and general disrespect for personal space. In fact, it was that very disrespect for personal space that landed him in his current predicament: running around as a rat and attempting to evade the stomping feet of a few screeching townspeople.
Four times, this has happened. Four times. The first had been none so pleasant, and had resulted in some strange hybrid of human-rat, but after the third time, it seemed the curse had returned to normal. He hadn't been so ratty since arriving here.
After what must have been three minutes of scurrying in a panic for some safe place to hide, Yuki eventually made it into an alleyway-- only to find said alleyway already inhabited by a dog and someone he couldn't even bring himself to assume anything about.
It was when he was about to turn around and bolt that the little rat that was so very much himself seemed to explode into a puff of purple smoke to reveal a very pale, very pretty, very naked ... well, him.
( ... )
First, a woman sticking her head out of a house window and gawking at him. Then, a rat running over and in very short order transforming into a very pretty, naked... boy. That is certainly not what he remembered Peter looking like. Or perhaps he was going so mad that he couldn't even recognize his own friends anymore. But he distinctly remembered Peter being rounder, blonder, and much MUCH less-attractive than the gray-haired animagus that had just now joined them.
Oh, but this was far more than he was ready for right now. He was exhausted, hurt, mortified, and it took exactly one moment after the rat transformed for Remus to lose consciousness. His eyes rolled back into his head and he flopped over sideways in the alleyway like a dead fish.
Padfoot followed Remus’s gaze, and he spotted the woman peering at them with her mouth agape as she stood at her window. Oh, merlin. This was a lovely morning, already. He turned back around just in time to catch the rat transforming into a … another naked boy. What on Earth?
He heard the thump as Remus hit the floor, and the black dog whipped his head around quickly to see Remus passed out. He panicked, barking low in his throat as he pressed his paw down on the others shoulder, trying to make the other snap out of it.
But it didn’t seem to be working very well. He licked the side of Remus’s face, still trying to snap the other out of his unconciousness.
Before she even really had the time to register what was going on, yet another naked boy appeared. Garnet was so overwhelmed by confusion that she simply stood there, mouth agape, and looking quite as though she'd ... just seen to very naked, random boys and a dog.
Finally, reality set in and she rushed away from her window to reappear in the alley way with several blankets. She handed one to the silver-haired boy, and draped another over the other. She certainly couldn't carry him in herself, and the other boy ... would have a difficult time maneuvering with a blanket wrapped around himself.
No worries. There were other things she could do.
She closed her eyes, and a moment later the air swirled around the boy on the ground, glittering and shining brilliant white light as she called on her white magic. Hopefully a bit of healing would do the trick.

Utterly speechless.
