Yes, it IS painful and emotionally wrenching to see those that we love and care about making a mistake, but that's really the only way they can learn and come into the person they are supposed to be.

Totally not unsolicited advice, actually, you really just articulated more of what I was thinking about when I posted. Unfortunately, I don't think the circumstances will end up in personal growth, which is a shame-- I'm pretty sure the end result won't have any positive outcome. The fact that I really need to not meddle, no matter how much I desperately want to, is killing me! Sure is hard, when my outside perspective is allowing me to see some stuff the people more directly involved are blind to right now.
