Oh, my goodness, writers on child language acquisition, why can't you just agree and write a nice little list of the order in which children learn to produce simple/complex/compound sentences? I feel that I am trying to draw conclusions on a tiny platform perched on top of a wobbly pole in a high wind ( Read more... )

Ohh, Yuna's response to everything is terribly sad. ;__; It's kind of distressing that she wouldn't be able to keep her hopes up, despite being against only one man, and not even a very supernatural one, which is what she usually has to deal with. The Master must be particularly unsettling this time around.

Well, I imagine being one of only a handful of survivors would create a sense of 'what are we fighting to save?', which would be a bit dispiriting. Poor Yuna.

I am oddly pleased by this!

(Yuna/Charlie Brooker, on the other hand, should never ever ever happen.)

(Brooker meeting Tidus would be absolutely hilarious. You're making me want fanfiction in which Summoner Mitchell and his guardians Brooker and Webb join up with Team Yuna, now.)

"why can't you just agree and write a nice little list of the order in which children learn to produce simple/complex/compound sentences"

Maybe it differs per child?

Also, good luck getting academics/scientists to agree on things, as it means admitting that they may be wrong.

I'm just going to get my own book on language acquisition published within the next month, making up all the things about acquisition order that would make my dissertation easiest if they were true, and then use that as my sole source.

I CAN SEE NO PROBLEMS WITH THIS PLAN WHATSOEVER.

NEITHER DO I.

Although I do advise against using Pyramid Head with a ukelele as the cover.

One night, Mitchell wakes and realises that Yuna is crying
Oh, Yuna.

I really, really like this idea and bizarrely want more of it. The Yuna/Master showdown at the end of their journey would be awesome. (And now that I have typed it, Yuna/Master as a pairing is strangely intriguing.)

Yuna/Master as a pairing would be horrible (as if the poor girl hasn't been through enough!), but I would absolutely love to see their showdown.

I live on angst, so yeah. :D But the showdown! It would be amazing. Yuna's sheer strength of character would utterly, utterly baffle the Master.

You're making me want to see Yuna as the Doctor's companion. She would be so wonderful!

I don't know who Yuna is so I'm stuck on the idea of David/Donna, and I can't deal with how bitchy and wonderful it would be. Donna would pick up on everything David would ever say, and she would always win. And she'd be exactly the sort of person who would try and convince David to admit his feelings about Charlie because she loves that sort of thing.

Mitchell would be so intimidated and yet sort of smitten! It would be wonderful.

And she'd be exactly the sort of person who would try and convince David to admit his feelings about Charlie because she loves that sort of thing.

Oh, I would love to see this.
