Alternative to Delicious: Diigo

Since Delicious will not be with us for much longer, I've been checking out alternatives. So far, Diigo seems like the best candidate to me ( Read more... )

Ah, thanks. I set it to import last night, and it still hasn't loaded. So I was wondering if something went wrong. but I guess the site is probably pretty jammed up right now.

Yes, all the delicious refugees must be overloading the servers something awful! It'll probably be quite a while before thing settle down again there... but but even if it takes a long time, there shouldn't be cause to worry.

Diigo does look fairly okay... and if not, there'll be some other alternative. It's a hassle, but it's not a catastrophe. :-)

Oh, argh! Thanks for the tip, esp. since nobody else on my flist mentioned it! I repeat, ARGH! A petty annoyance, but still an annoyance.

Is it difficult to rip out the Delicious buttons once we've found something else and moved our bookmarks?

My flist has been gnashing its collective teeth and wailing all day - your friends seem to be more stoic than mine. ;-) And yes, it is definitely an annoyance...

Removing the Delicious buttons is not a problem at all - just uninstall the Delicious toolbar add-on, and like magic, it all disappears. :-)
