of some attempts to move forward

Seven days into 2012, and what do I have for you?

A tale of my visit to a dating agency, courtesy of a friendly spur-kick by my buddy, as well as an enjoyable conversation with a stranger in another stranger's house.

Say what?! )

Aww, don't worry about that stuff, Medha. I think I've come to a point in my life where being perpetually single has offered me a lot more opportunities than had I been attached and forced to make decisions/sacrifices. I did, however, worry about my love life at one point. My grandmother asked me if I've got a boyfriend and I told her, "No, I don't." She said, "You should get one soon." Haha, that was a kick in the behind, but I'm not in a rush and I have a feeling that should I scurry out and look for someone, I'll end up with a loser boyfriend.

I personally think that you're a great person and when the time is right, you'll find the right guy. Work on the being painfully self-conscious first, though ^_^. I think it's fine if you're shy, but I've noticed that it's really difficult to want to get to know someone who is more concentrated on what others think about him/her.

thanks Sasha, will do my best :)

we always need to be able to see both sides of being single - and I do understand when you say we've got more opportunities to take up, and less baggage. and your point on a loser boyf, I hear you! as cliche as it is, you can't help but tell yourself things will be worth the wait because he will be someone you want in your life.
