So, I decided I'm going to review manga. Only thing is, I don't want to start off with what everyone else is reading--let's face it, if you want to find a review on Fruits Basket or Bleach, you have more than enough avenues to do so.

Taking that in mind, I want to do some reviews of new series I've read that I enjoy. So my reviews will not only be a

If you get a chance, "Dramacon" (vol.3 is due out this fall) is another FANTASTIC OEL manga! :D Seriously, I've bought it for a number of my friends. ^___^

... also, Svet, (Svetlana Chmakova) is a personal friend of mine and lives in town... so I kind of pimp her like there's no tomorrow. XD

But seriously, her stuff rocks!

I've been wanting to snag Dramacon for some time now, the opportunity just never arose. Until now, that is! Ms. Chmakova is at Comic-Con signing at the TOKYOPOP booth, along with Dan Hipp, so I'm going to snag them tomorrow and attempt to get it signed on Saturday...

Ah, I love the smell of Comic-Con in the morning! 'Cuz let's face it, Comic-Con smells like sweaty nerds by the end of the day! XD

I decided that Dramacon was going to be one of my "souvenirs" for this year's con and bought it from TOKYOPOP on Friday. Svetlana signed it for me on Sunday (more on that in my day 4 report) and I name-dropped you with "My friend Moor recommended I read it." Of course, she recognized your name and we chatted a bit about how she knows you and John. It was a fun conversation...

Anyway, if you guys are planning on hitting up a con next summer, I suggest coming out to sunny San Diego! I haven't seen this much good programming in YEARS and I think you would have A LOT more fun at Comic-Con than you did at Otakon. And I promise a full tour of my hometown if you make it out here! :D
