Our government are cutting jobs all over the place right now (my dad's job is likely to be cut) and the economy is in a slump, although I don't think things are anywhere near as bad as it's been over there for you guys. Our pollies are pricks on both sides (Labour and Liberal/National party supporters can be just as ridiculously one-eyed as your Repubs and Democrats and our leader of the L/N coalition is a complete swine) but Romney just stuns me with his stupidity. How can his advisers allow him to speak in public???

I saw this after reblogging a post at Tumblr about a mad church group who were planning on protesting against gay marriage at a funeral of a female soldier who was killed fighting for the very right they're exercising. A FUNERAL!!! People are going crazy.

Maybe the world will end in December. Maybe the self-righteous bigots blow it up with all their poisonous hot air.

Ah, yes. The Westboro Baptist Church is at it again. They have protestors at a lot of funerals, but people prepare for them now by having others blocking them so the family doesn't see them, although you know they are there. By using half the money spent over the past 2 years on this election we could have gone a long way to solving a lot of our economic problems. I realize that is a simplified idea, but our election process is out of control. At the preschool where I teach most of the other teachers are Romney supporters and I just want to smack them, but I am trying to teach my 2 year olds that hitting isn't good. My co teacher and I have a politics free classroom otherwise I think there would be bloodshed. Time for my blood pressure medicine.

The post I saw was calling for volunteers to form a line between the mourners and the protesters. It just stuns me that people who call themselves Christians would do this to a grieving family.

And I just can't understand how anyone can support Romney. Forget his policies, the man is so dumb I'm surprised he can talk and breathe at the same time. He wants planes to have windows that open so more air can get into the cabin in case of a fire. Seriously? My ten year old knows how fire and planes work yet this guy who wants to run a country doesn't get it?

I've always been so jealous of dogsunderfoot for living in the US and so wanted to move there. Now, I want her to move here because, as much as Australia sucks at times, there is just no way in hell I want to live in America.
