Oooh, thank you so much, dear mystery author! This is perfect for me.

I love the image of Remus so broken in the aftermath of Severus' death. This entire scenario seems entirely too plausible; Severus pushing Remus away because of Voldemort, Remus mistakenly believing he could have something with Tonks. I wonder whose child Teddy is? Anyway, I love Hermione's sharp eye, the way she tries to push Remus to help her. The fact that he's withdrawing and even running away is way too canon for me.

I love that through all of it, Severus is steadfast. Okay, so maybe trying to protect Remus wasn't the smartest move, at least the way he went about it, but he returns and he stays, and if that doesn't say something...

I really, really enjoyed this. Thank you so much again! ♥

Oh, and let me tell you: the prose is beautiful. That first paragraph drew me right in, and your language... Whew. So metaphorical and visual.

You're so very welcome.

And thank-you for saying such nice about the story. I love writing Remus and Severus, but Hermione pops into nearly all my longer stories. I love writing her, although I always write her as secondary character. From the time I first read HP, she's been one of my favorites and her input into one of my fics is always something I enjoy.

In some of my other stories, Teddy ends up being Bill's child, conceived just prior to his wedding with Fleur. This is a device that prompts Remus's gallantry - I don't know if I really believe its plausibility.

And Severus (as I see him) is steadfast. Who remains more fixed and unwavering in purpose than he?

I'm so glad you enjoyed.

I completely agree, the prose really is beautiful. That first paragraph is a doozy, really pulled me right in and had me reading. You did the broken Remus very well. I loved it.
