It pisses Joe off, because Billy is everywhere and everything, now.
Again, perfectly in character. The mingled resentment and love, and the underlying knowledge that Joe's done this to himself, by letting no one but Billy in.
The husky timbre of Billy's voice after a gig, the musical quality of his laugh, the low rumble when he talks shit - sometimes Joe is certain his ears flick and swivel, just like a fucking dog trying to pick out it's owner's voice.
Which is not so far from the truth, but he doesn't have to like it.
Lovely. Again, a wonderfully insightful job, stars. You've taken my universe and expanded it in a bazillion directions, fleshed out the world of werewolf!Joe and given it life. I'm so proud of what you've done here. \o/!
Sometimes I just want to shake Joe and make him think about why Billy stays. Because really - until Joe made it unbearable, Billy was always there. And he came back when Joe asked him to. Y HALLO THAR, JOE - YOU CAN HAS LUV, U DUMMY.
Also, I think the next installment should deal with the question of Billy's jealousy and Joe's obliviousness. And maybe realizing that this, too, is something they can share.
*cough* I may have subconsciously stolen "brick in the nose" from etcetera_cat's faboo Dief-centric dS Match story. Or at least that was the image that lingers in my head, so she's to blame for it somehow. :D
I love the question of dependency - would there be circumstances sufficient to drive or convince Joe to stay in wolf-form? Just shuck everything else and live like a wild man and howl at the moon? And would he take Billy with him?

He's so cranky, though, he's fun to write. :)

I really liked that line. Also the "brick in the nose" expression.
