George and Mason being totally spun by Dawn's near destruction was wonderful. Of course they'd still be emotionally scarred by Betty's act. It was like a close friend committing suicide out of the blue. Just the idea of losing another friend the same way would be jarring.

Delores was pitch perfect. I always enjoyed her references to the bad old days on the show, and that squid bringin up the cocaine hallucinations was hysterical. Especially seeing as it's entirely possible she was attacked by a vampire clown in a port-a-potty!

Xander was nice and menacing, and he's got every right to be threatening George. He's had a terrible couple of months, and losing Buffy must be devastating. George just reaching in and grabbing his soul for a bit of a bitch slap is a great visual.

Betty's jump can be read either way. I think the writers meant for us to see it as a form of suicide, because the episodes leading up to it, as well as the episode itself definitely played up that kind of vibe. But I also think it can be argued either way from an objective standpoint. From the in-character standpoint, I think George and Mason would be more focused on the loss and the fact they don't actually know what happened to her and would view it as something close to suicide.

And, yeah, Delores's little asides always had me a stitches. Just the way the actresses interact when "Delores" lets her freak flag fly really makes it. And I couldn't resist planting the idea that Delores managed to fight off a vampire while under the influence and then dismissed the whole thing as a drug-fueled hallucination.

And poor Xander. Just when he thought his life couldn't get suckier, it manages to dive to that lower place.
