Oh god! This sentence alone, and I almost wouldn't care what else you wrote! (:-P) I mean, I obviously wrote this story from Sirius' POV so Remus' thoughts and feelings couldn't be articulated except through visible means, but this - this is exactly... just yes, yes, a thousand times YES! And it works for 'past' and present (story-wise) alike.

because no matter how far Remus tries to pull away, he will always snap back to Sirius.Another fantastic image - when I read this, I could literally see it - the rubber band that binds them, and hear the audible snap, too

&hearts yay! i'm so glad you liked it; Running to Stand Still is one of my favorite stories, and i must confess i was sneaking some covetous glances at it before the Remix assignments went out. :D it's so nice to know the bits and pieces that worked, so thanks for pointing them out!

That killed me. In a good way. Damn that line just says everything, gets the point across simply and painfully.

I love this story. It hurt to read, everyone's lonliness was palpable, yet they kept moving and trying and misunderstanding.

Wonderful story, and I love where you chose to end it.
