Thank you.

Five Things really are a fantastic development in fic writing. So many opportunities.

Farscape was a Sci-Fi TV series that ran from 1999-2003 (including a miniseries that wrapped up unresolved issues) that was made in Australia (so everyone except for the lead actor were all Aussies). It revolved around an American astronaut ("from our time") getting stuck across the universe (due to a wormhole) and having to deal with this strange new place. On his first day in, he pisses off a military commander and is hunted across the galaxy.

And in the end, John does many, many bad things along the way to survive (and gets tortured, mind-raped, and worse) and loses many things. He also falls hardcore in love with Aeryn, builds a family out of aliens who became his friends and it is awesome.

I like this a lot. I love the D'Artagnan ref, and it takes me back to memories of naming my own kids.

I've wondered how John Crichton would nickname his son because that's what John loves to do, assign so many names. I thought the variation on a theme worked nicely.

Wow. That's kind of perfect. Equally sweet note about the naming and great characterization of John. Sigh. I really like this.
