I wanted to watch the show for YEARS, but I didn't have Showtime (and my dad is very :| about it. Yeah.), and then last October I saw it at the video store. I came home and ask my flist is they thought I should give it a try, and there was pretty much an overwhelming "YOU WOULD LOVE IT!"
So I rented. And I loved. I got about half into the 2nd season (in like 4 days. I think the guy at the video store started looking at me funny after I bought the first 3 back and rented 3 more. It was like a "you do know what this is, right? look) and gave in and bought the first 3 seasons on DVD. I loved it from the second I started watching, honestly. It hooked me in.
I slowly and slowly became more obsessed.
After I'd seen all of 1-4 (I dled 4 because I could not wait a few months for the DVDs, omg.), I started reading fic and such and really getting into fandom.
Yes, that is my dull story of how I came to love QaF.

Back then, during the dark ages, I did not have Showtime On Demand, so I couldn't just go watch what I missed, and I have this thing where if I'm going to watch a show it has to be from the beginning, so it fell out of my head. Sometimes I'd see references to it or run into the DVDs at Best Buy and think "woe, I wanted to watch that!" In fact! I kind of wanted to buy the dvds, but they were too expensive. LITTLE DID I KNOW HOW IRRELEVANT THAT EXPENSE WOULD BECOME ( ... )
