I agree. I absolutely loved The King's Speech". Colin Firth is always amazing and he deserves to be rewarded for his talent.

I'm sorry to say that I have never really paid any attention to any of Mr.Firth's other work besides this movie. Would you mind recommending some of his other work? Something that you feel as a must see.

It is difficult to know what to recommend but I would say probably A Single Man. He was nominated for an oscar for that part last year.

He was also excellent in The Girl with a Pearl Earring, as Lord Wessex in Shakespeare in Love and Valmont.

If you prefer something lighter, I really enjoyed The Importance of Being Ernest.

He is most famous for the 1995 BBC mini series Pride and Prejudice in which he played Mr. Darcy. This Price and Prejudice adaptation is (in my opinion) is the very best one ever done. That success led him to be cast in Bridget Jones Diary as the romantic male lead. The story plays off his name in the movie which is Mark Darcy and Bridget Jones' infatuation with Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice.
