Define for me...Accomplishment

Is it something earned or something achieved? That great thing that falls in your lap or something you expend blood and sweat and tears for?

I think it can vary according to whom you ask. For me, is is part and parcel of the end result of a certain mix of achievement through blood, sweat, tears, AND possibly things that fall in your lap. the one does not necessarily negate the effect of the other.

If you don't put in the right kinds of blood, sweat, and tears, it is rare that something will fall into your lap. for me, accomplishment only comes after effort. The other is "bonus".

An accomplishment is reaching a goal through planning and effort. Being accomplished in something (playing piano, for instance) implies practice and dedication.
