Last night, I dreamed I was given a blindfold and a balancing pole and instructed to cross a tightrope between two skyscrapers. Other people were doing the same thing on nearby ropes, and I was expected to complete the skywalk faster than them. There's a small memorial just off the interstate, where I-26 E meets I-77 N. I'm not sure how long it's been there, but I first noticed it about a year ago. HOW did the suffix "-AHOLIC" come to mean "ADDICT"? I mean, I get that it stems from "ALCOHOLIC" -- but ALCOHOL is the root word there, and "-IC" is the thing that makes it an addiction.

I recently gave my refrigerator, pantry, and cupboards a long-overdue cleaning out and scrubbing. While I was doing this, I mused the following: When the stuff in your pantry is old enough to walk and talk, that means it's time for it to go. Meanwhile, when I open my fridge, I've got stuff in there asking if it can borrow the car for the weekend.

I can't remember if I previously shared the Super Metroid-inspired Home Screen and Lock Screen wallpapers I made for myself a few phones ago -- but I recently decided to make desktop versions of both of them. ... Actually, in true "me fashion", I made like a dozen variations of each. But I'm linking the versions I hate the least. :)
