Also, my email just let me know that I'm 30 years old today.

When I was working in tech support, I got pretty adept at painting Warhammer miniatures. I got to where, generally, I could knock out three miniatures at table-quality per day. I love the smell of new books. Especially so nerd books, or cards. Its a smell I associate with possibility. With the unknown and the soon to be understood. Opening one and catching that toner and ink smell reminds me that I'm on the verge of glimpsing something outside myself and sets my mind in a path for openness unlike anything else...

After I graduated college, I gained nearly 30 lbs. I'm told this is pretty normal. I figure it was a general combination of not having to hike across campus every day, having disposable income, and more food than I needed ( Read more... )

I had forgotten how easy it was for me to get wrapped up in painting miniatures. It's really quite relaxing, I just never seem to have a place to work on them at. I picked up some supplies for cleaning and caring for my brushes that I'd been meaning to try out. They worked like a charm. Brushes I'd given up on as lost forever, or relegated to ( Read more... )

I realized today why I don't especially like reading things on my computer. The reason is quite simple: the computer is full of distractions.
