I love the fowers and the baby starling..although those birds can be quite pesty.
The passion flower is some landing pad for the bees!
As always, thanks for sharing your garden on lj.

Yes I agree about the starlings - this is the third batch of babies that we've had around the garden this year. They have entertainment value though, especially when they all dive bomb into the bird-bath :)

Gorgeous photos, most beautiful flowers (my fuschia bit the dust about 2 weeks ago).
Good luck with the ebay sales!
I will love to see the refinished bedroom!
Have you thought about putting your albums onto cd's? I am going to do that with many of the digital photo's I take, for safe keeping :).
I miss cycling!

Thanks - I'm surprised that the fuschias have lasted so long but they seem to be coming into their own at the moment.
e-bay is slow so far, but I have listed for 10 days, so hopefully it will speed up nearer the end date.
We have such a long way to go with the spare room. We use it as a second office, so there is so much 'stuff' to clear out of it.
Yes, we tried putting a couple of albums onto CD's but were disappointed with the quality so over the years we have been buying new CD's of our favourites :)

I was really into cycling for a long time, but we just haven't made the effort so far this year - maybe the enthusiasm will come back now that it's a bit cooler!

Two of my all time favorites... I absolutely love cosmos and always loved the passionflower vines we'd put out every spring.

Same here - they are both long-flowering. The passionflower is more like a triffid at the moment though and I noticed it was sprouting out ten feet away from the original plant!

Oh my... your comments about the albums and home recorded videos struck a cord. I have an entire closet full of home recorded stuff off the telly.. because we knew that someday we would be without cable service. Almost five hundred movies recorded off of tv.. some with commercials. I am going to work on putting them in the garbage bin this month.. wonder if I will make it? *grin* the albums stay.. and even though I DO have a record player... I cannot part with the four hundred some odd albums of music... most of which I do NOT have in any other form. I plan on using the crates they are in as a stero stand. *grin*

It's awful, isn't it? Seems so wasteful too. I still haven't done the deed and thrown them away - I've virtually filled up our rubbish bin today with garden rubbish that I can't compost, so it'll have to wait another week. Belated thanks BTW for your autumn suggestions last week - I just remembered I didn't reply. Don't know about you, but I'm finding so much to do outside again at the moment - cut back buddleia, perennial phlox and loads of loosestrife today. I also admitted defeat with those tomatoes and composted the plants. I dug a hole and buried the squashed tomatoes, just in case they feel like seeding *grin*

HA! I checked my bin and decided to not open the closet door.. I knew I didn't have enough room, but the tomatoes are in the same state, about to be buried in a dog hole in the yard to compost down. I am sad about that. I need to get to the fall clean up soon.. it is building up!

The photos are beautiful. The passion flower is really interesting as is the fuschsia.

Thank you - it's nearly the end of the flowering season, so it was good to find a couple of colourful pictures to take :)
