Twenty-fifth Entry [Accidental Video / Action]

[One of the hall cameras turns on as Poland is walking past, looking more than a little off balance and frightened. All of a sudden, he stops dead, a look of shock, pain, and dread on his face as he clutches at his stomach.]

[He's been searching for Poland all over the place and starts running when he spots the child.]

Poland!

Poland, please, believe me. I would never hurt you, especially not like that, and I never have tried to make any contracts with anyone like - like that.

[Short pause.] Poland, I swear by my the Father's name, by Christ's sacrifice and the name of the Holy ghost, and may the holy mother Mary and all Saints be my witnesses, I did and would never hurt you or make others hurt you. I will forever try to protect you.

[He looks up, and you can just see the anger drain out of him, leaving fear and confusion in its wake. He doesn't think Lithuania would swear falsely on anything so powerful, even if he didn't believe in it, because that would be foolish. But that leaves him not knowing what's happened, or what to think... He bites his lip, but it's not enough to keep him from starting to cry.]

[He doesn't know what to do.]

I'm pretty sure I just messed up. Holy Spirit? What would it be?

[Lithuania breathes a careful, cautious sigh of relief and takes a little step towards Poland. He just wants to pick the little nation up, cradle him to his chest and rock him gently, trying to comfort him.

But he can't. Not yet, not with Poland only barely trusting him.] Please, let me help.

[He doesn't move away when Liet comes closer, though he does instinctively tense up a little.]

You need a safer place. It's not only- a lot of nations have started claiming parts of this house as their territory. It isn't safe for you to be here. If nothing else, I can make sure that you are safe from more harm.

[Kneels down to be less scary.]

And [trying Poland specific tactics] we could go see the ponies, and I can show you your clothes, and I can make sweets for you, if you want.

[Cautiously and shyly] ...That like, sounds good, I guess... Ponies?

["I'll show you my rabbits" is not a good reason to go with a stranger, Poland ;;] Yes, two of them. A rather sturdy brown one and a lighter one.

[Poland, as it may be apparent, is sort of weird about Stranger Danger. He's terrified of people he doesn't know, and yet... Anyway, Lithuania swore on all those important things! So he's okay!]

Well... It's our room. You can always come back to it - I can sleep on the ground if you'd feel safer like that. [Using the closet to get another bed would probably not be a good idea right now. Not with Poland around.]

[Hesitates a moment longer, then bypasses Liet's hand and halfway tackles him, clinging to him and hiding his face against his chest as he starts to cry again. He's saying something, but it's muffled into Liet's shirt.]

[HUgging him lightly, carefully, whispering sotthening words in the Polish of his time.]

[Medieval Polish] I-I'm so scared! I'm not even sure I know what happened anymore, and it was so freaky, and I kept begging for help, but there was nobody, and I feel seriously awful, like--like sick, and dirty, and weak, and my stomach hurts and I'm scared I'm with child and I'll die of it, and...

[Getting a bit more confident with the hugging.] I promise you that I won't let it happen again, and... and maybe we can ask the angels for help with... with that.

Did you eat or drink something strange? Maybe it's just that. [Lithuania is medieval enough to consider the devil and demons a very real danger, and he doesn't only fear for him here; if he dies from it, he will come back. But what if his eternal soul is affected by this?]
