Swiss Chalet is my dad's favourite place, and I remember when I used to live in Toronto that I'd go there for all sorts of meals with friend and family. Anata and I went for lunch at Tai Hing Congee and Noodle House in Richmond. It's a very small store, almost hole-in-the-wall type, but it's got quite a following and seems pretty well established. The parking lot seems to present a challenge for quite a few Richmond drivers, but otherwise it's a somewhat busy plaza.

I wanted some Indian food for lunch for a quite bite but Papa Day was closed (they don't open until 4pm on the weekends) so I ended up at Tandoori Kona since it seemed to have pretty high ratings. They are located in a plaza with ample parking and the place seems pretty busy.

Anata and I were thinking of dinner possibilities when he remembered seeing a Groupon for a Steveston restaurant. So I looked it up and it was for Tapenade Bistro, a $30 for $60 deal. I went to The Boathouse at their Richmond location twice recently, so this post compiles the food from both visits. The Boathouse is located in an odd area of Richmond, just before the bridge towards the airport and across the road from the Westin Centre.
