What are the haps?

Everything's been so, so busy lately that I haven't had time to do anything on the internets (not having a connection at home at the moment probably doesn't help). It also means that I've neglected Awesome Community (if I do say so) vc_media , but that'll change from Monday when I'm back online properly.

So first there was Thassos in May, and that was ( Read more... )

I can't believe how big Ellie's got! And what's the name of the cute little monster? It's sweet that you've ensured your parents will still be able to enjoy doggie chaos in Ellie's absence. :P

I'm really looking forward to the California post! :)

And trust me - the house thing really does get better. At first it's chaos and "wtf, I have to make decorating decisions?" But once you get the big stuff done, it gets INCREDIBLY, ridiculous fun to do the little stuff, and to know that you've got a place to put that amazing little bookcase or vintage advertising art or whatever other treasures you spot in a charity shop. :) I was never one for dressing dolls as a kid, but dressing the flat? OH HELLS YES!

She really has, hasn't she? I am proud of her. She's still crazy and tries to round up the other dogs in the park, but we're cool. The little girl dog is a golden retriever/collie cross, which is what my Amy was. She'll have a calmer temperament for my parents, even if she looks like a baby gorilla right now.

We've been struggling over the name. My dad, who misses Amy terribly, wants to call her Amy, too. I can understand the reasoning but I don't like calling her that, so we're working on a compromise that'll probably sound just like Amy. Haha.

Yes! That's exactly it! And I was so excited, putting up my Mexican masks and Barcelona stuff and all that. It's mine and here are my things. I am haunting the charity shops like a fiend. >:D

Amy Junior? Then you can call her Junior and your dad can call her Amy? Idk, but I would feel weird in your place too...

I've missed you, bb! That sounds like some awesome travel. But wow, travel and then moving? Two of the most exhausting things in the world.

and today I'm wondering how to paint my spare bedroom.

Hey, I'm a very good (house) painter, you pick the color and I'll come over and do it for you, provided we get to get drunk and snark about the VCs together! :D Oh wait, there's an ocean in the way. Dammit.

So many pictures! It's going to take me another few days to sort through them, hee.

She's very, very, very cute and very naughty. They love her. :D
