I had heard of the Japanese tradition of KFC for Christmas - I think I looked it up once, and it was a MASSIVELY successful marketing campaign by KFC back in the early 70's.
Yes, I think it was tasty... not a crumb was left by the end of the evening, which is always a good sign. The hungry crowd also totaled the Latkes I made, but those are always popular.
I wouldn't exactly call it a "cake", though. A meringue, maybe? We do those, with much of the "marron" (vermicelles!) but entirely without the strawberries ;-).
I have heard about those "fake christian" weddings. Top weird. Some also like to have them on our glaciers, in fact. With all the trappings, only no religion. They bring their own "priests", or the tour operators do it themselves, even. Our clergy isn't too thrilled about it, but hey, tourists will be tourists...
