so, here i am, testing the Facebook/Livejournal crossposting feature for the first time.  we'll see if i like it, and if i decide for it to be my primary mode of posting art.

ummm, for some content, let's go with the two landscape paintings i added to my website recently.  both were posted on Facebook already, when i updated my FB gallery, but these ( Read more... )

Ooooh, I love the coast one.

Missed your post of these on FB. The way FB is set up, stuff scrolls off so fast, I swear I end up missing half of it.

Thanks for posting it over here.

yeah, that's one of my many beefs with FB.

but now that you mention it, i'll make it a point to make some LJ updates with the last couple paintings i posted on FB, for those that missed them there.

well, you can go to both... ish.

the mountain is based on a view from Mt Rainier (i don't remember what the mountain we were looking *at* was... as we were *on* Rainier). and the coast is somewhere on the washington coast-- from the beach nearest the Hoh rainforest.

both are painted a bit differently from the actual views... given more drama and with some proportions exaggerated, etc, but aren't *too* changed.

Really like the coast one.. Mountain has great detail, too, mind you.

Dang. I really like them both and am interested in making some purchases.

Next time we get hang out, let's talk about that. How large are both of those landscapes?

they are either 10 inches wide, 14 inches wide, 19 inches wide... or like 35 inches wide, if you really wanted to get crazy.

i haven't printed any at the mega size yet, but have been meaning to do at least one to see what they were like. :)

the 10 and 14 sizes are available matted. actually, the 19 would be, too, i think. our standard matted sizes (outer dimensions) are 11x14 and 16x20, but we could do a larger size, it just wouldn't be a standard frame size.
