Much to my surprise, I found another kidfic in my SPN recs list. This story by Kassie is gen with mention of a Sam/OFC pairing, but it's about family, like the title says, not romance. I like it a lot.

This one is about Zoe and the two men most important to her. I do love me some Zoe/Wash, but her relationship with Mal is fascinating, too. I called this het because there is brief Zoe/Wash, but the story is about Zoe, that lovely, fierce warrior woman I so admire.

I love the Zoe POV in this story, especially her musings on Wash, and how Zoe has to adjust to Kaylee's presence on Serenity.
