Not so much with the nor'easter love today. T and I shoveled for 4 hours yesterday, I shoveled for another 4 hours this morning, still not done. 30 inches in Montpelier. THIRTY!!!

On the other hand, I did get to jump off the porch roof into a monster snowdrift last night, so it isn't all bad.

And for Valentine's this year? I'd like a foot of snow, thanks, so that I can snowshoe down the sidewalk to work.

Finally, some real winter weather to go with our below-zero cold!

The last day of fieldwork for a rush project I've been occupied with this month was yesterday--and a good thing, since the access agreement runs out today. I guess not planting the peas last weekend turned out to be a good idea.

On the other hand, we did get the nasty old porch roofing material to the dump before the weather changed...

...as of this morning. A full two weeks earlier than last year. And never mind that there's only been ice on this stretch of the river for about 2 weeks.

Really, there's no such thing as global climate change. Honest.

And actual lightning!! A nice, midwestern-style thunderstorm, not the piddly tinyrumbling garbage we usually get!

No, really. It's been cloudy and/or rainy for I don't know how long. Long enough that even sun-through-clouds is enough to make me squint.
