He looks like he's had enough of his first experience in that second picture! Duluth, evidently beginning tonight, is going to get its second blizzard in two weeks (2+ feet), with 55 mph winds off the lake. Do you want Milwaukee buried with snow, or the bodies of your sworn enemies at Marquette? Feel free to call upon your viking brothers in your quest for vengeance; I can't remember the last time I carved a nice blood eagle.

We stopped at the first officially designated "vista point" up the Trinity Scenic Byway (CA-299); if you head over Lord Ellis Summit, across Redwood Creek, and just past Circle Point, you'll find it on the south side of the road.

damn, snow really was pretty low this week. that's considerably lower and closer than the hansis forest, which was where i last encountered (califerrnian) snow.

He hails from my (nearly - I went to middle and high school there) native Eau Claire, Wisconsin, you and the Anonymous Notorious Jess both out to know.

That looked like a lovely day indeed. Ya know, I find it very uplifting to see photos like these. It tells me that there is goodness and happiness in the world. Thanks for the inspiration, and for sharing these. :)
