A week with the O'Mackey's
So now I've played at least one household in every subhood except for Riverblossom Hills. Time to change that today with a visit to the O'Mackeys.
It's a cold day in Riverblossom Hills, so Jules lights a fire for her and her dad, Gabe.
Gabe: I can't lose. I taught her everything she knows!
My daughter hovered over my shoulder while these two were playing one of their ten dozen games of chess and said "mummy, I think they're doing it wrong." I know bugger all about chess so please, let me know if she's right or not.
Now, Gabe had a want to see a ghost. So I thought "I'll send them to Gothier Green Lawns for the evening, see if we can spot some Tricou's. Only... all the graves were gone. All the Tricou's and Skip Broke. So they just hung out and made friends instead.
Gabe: I see someone I'd like to make friends with, all right.
Jules: Daddy, isn't graverobbing a crime?
Gabe: It's not graverobbing it there aren't any graves to steal.
I have no idea why I took this. Maybe just to show off Jules' pretty nightie? I dunno.
Gabe is already in his LTW job, and gets promoted on his first day.
Jules: Dad, Dad, I got an A!
Gabe: That's great honey. Now excuse me for a moment while I teach myself how to use a mop.
Oh look, it's Skip and Kiernan. Hey, I wonder if some time out has mellowed Skip out a bit?
Skip: BOO HAUNTED DINNER!
That's a no then.
Kiernan: BOO!
Jules: EEK!
Skip: WOOOOOOO!
Gabe: Gasp! A ghost! This is the most amazing moment of my life!
Skip: You're no fun.
Kiernan: BOOGLYBOOGLYBOO!
Jules: DADDY GET RID OF THEM!
Gabe: It's all right, I sent their graves back.
Jules: Thanks Dad. ...You sent ALL the graves back, right, not just those two?
Gabe: MUNCHMUCNHMUNCH sorry, can't hear you!
Gabe has another excellent day at school.
He brought home Pascal Curious and they spent hours playing chess.
He stuck around for dinner too.
Three chance card promotions in a row!? Lady Luck is smiling upon Gabe this week.
I had a look in his relationship panel and saw he had a thing going on with Patricia Wan, so on his day off, he asked her out on a date. And everyone knows pillow fights = true love!
She accepted an invitation home. :D
And it was a dream date.
Meanwhile, Jules has been working in her LTW career of politics and maxed it out that evening.
Gabe has another ghost want. Maybe Nylissit and Jon Smith can help out with that.
Jules: Hey ghost, how ya doing?
Jon: I'm dead! How do you think!?
Jules: Wait, why did I want a guitar? I suck at playing the guitar.
Gabe: Hey.
Jon: Hi.
Wait, is that it? No scaring? I should've kept Skip around.
Next day it's the weekend, so I sent Gabe and Jules to a madeover Archimedes Arcade for some daddy-daughter bonding.
Oh hey, look who's sitting in the back row of the movies!
Lazlo: We're just talking!
Jules: You and that guy seem to be getting along nicely, why don't you tell him a joke?
Erin: That's a great idea!
Erin: -THIS big!
Gabe: Hi, haven't I seen you on a milk carton somewhere?
Bella: That's the worst pickup line I've ever heard.
Gabr: ...No, really.
Dirk Dreamer joins Jules for a game of kicky bag.
The lemon tree got bugs. D: I don't think Gabe would mind becoming a plantsim, but still, I brought a ladybug loft after he'd sprayed.
Headmaster: Hello, young lady, would you like to go to private school?
Jules: Well, it would make my dad happy.
Headmaster: Then I shall require a three course gourmet meal as soon as possible.
Headmaster: There's ectoplasm in my dinner.
Gabe: It's good for you.
Kvornan: I can almost taste it...
Gabe: Eek! Yay!
Then exhausted, he passed out in his armchair for a few hours.
Gabe: OK, this isn't so much fun now. Perhaps the graverobbing was a bad idea.
Kvornan: I think it's a great idea! BOO!
Jules' aspiration bar was getting low because she wanted a date, so I let her spend some of Gabe's promotion bonus cash on the matchmaker.
Justin Cleveland: Ow. Oooh. Ooooooh! Who's that girl?
Skunk: Damned if I know.
I wasn't paying proper attention so the date sucked. Sorry, you two!
I decided it was time Jules and Alexandra had a little mother-daughter time together, so they got together for an outing.
Alexandra: I know I haven't been around much lately, but I've had to do a lot of travelling for work.
Back home, Justin was still hanging around and got himself a kiss from Jules. Why couldn't you two do that during your date, hmm!?
And we end the week with Jules and Justin getting to know each other better. MUCH better! But not THAT much better if you know what I mean. You know what I mean.
