I win at quick introductory chapters.

Need I remind you that chapter one = obviously going to go a bit slow. I am sorry - but it's the law, the law of England, nothing to do with me. (To quote Basil Fawlty).

Nevertheless, please, I thrive on any reply you can give me. Make me want to keep writing goddammit.

CHAPTER I. )

I didn't think it was possible, but you just made me love Snape even more. This is very in keeping with his character. Most fics about a young Snape have him being gentle and understanding with his mother, telling her he loves her, blah blah. I can't see that happening. Not that he wouldn't love her, but I think his irritation and anger that she tolerated being abused would be the stronger emotions with Snape.

Thank you so much! Seriously... comments like this make my writing worth while. I work hard on keeping with canon Snape so I'm so glad you picked up on it.

Not outwardly loving, or in Severus's eyes, no. The thing about Eileen... I see her as a very 'sick' woman. Someone who once loved her son with all her heart and was very strong and happy. But she's lost it over the years, and she still loves her son, but I see it as her not knowing how to express it anymore - therefore he feels as if she is being insincere. If you get when I'm talking about.

Thank you :)

Oh by no means am I attempting to win people over to the Snape side ;) I just love writing him.

I hope I can keep up with him though. heh.

I like the relation between young Snape and his mother and it is completely in line with what I would have thought of it. This guy NEVER had loving caring parents.
Keep writing.

Oh I think Eileen loves him. As I said above, she's just a sick woman and she can't express herself. That's why Snape feels as if she is false. Only my take though :)

YAY! I loved it. I honestly am becoming a bigger Snape fan by the day. Sirius is always my fav. but...I just love Snape for some reason now. So interesting. You are a very good writer.
